Storm Debris Collection in Gated Communities Update

Your Neighborhood Relations team has been asked to share the below information with your communities.

Hillsborough County teams will collect storm debris in gated residential communities beginning Nov.17.  The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulations allow one collection pass in gated communities. To ensure a smooth process, residents are asked to place debris in the Right of Way (on the curb) before Nov. 17.

For debris to be collected in gated communities, completed Right of Entry forms are required to be submitted to Hillsborough County Public Works.  The forms will be accepted for submission through Dec. 1, 2024.

Commercial properties such as apartment complexes, condominiums, townhomes, or mobile home parks will be addressed separately, and are not included in this process.

In addition to this scheduled collection, residents in private communities have other options for debris removal:

Regular curbside pickup: You may continue to place debris out for removal for your regular yard waste pickup. Yard waste must be bundled, neatly stacked, or in a container. Please contact PWCustomerResolution@hcfl.gov or call (813) 635-5400 if you have any questions.
