The proposed tree amendment, which would have allowed homeowners to remove the easement oak tree(s) and replace with one of four selected trees, did not pass. We did not receive approval from two-thirds of the association’s properties, as required by our by-laws. The requirement for an oak tree in each easement area (two in corner lots) still stands as per the original legal documentation. For those who took the time to sign and return the proxy forms (whether for or against), as a board, we thank you for your participation and interest in the matter! The board will continue to do our best to manage the infrastructure maintenance (sidewalks, street pan gutters, streets) due to damage caused by the oak tree roots. We do anticipate that HOA dues will increase over time due to these ongoing costs.
